About the role
Responsibilities:
- Provides technical leadership in designing and building scalable, high-performance systems.
- Leads key engineering initiatives, mentors developers across teams, and contributes to the evolution of Tekion's platform architecture and engineering excellence.
- Leads development of complex software solutions and ensures alignment with architectural direction and business objectives.
- Designs large-scale system components, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Partners with product managers and cross-functional leaders to translate business requirements into technical deliverables.
- Guides engineering best practices, code standards, and performance tuning across teams.
- Mentors and coaches engineers at all levels, supporting career growth and engineering maturity.
- Investigates system-wide issues and drives root cause analysis and resolution strategies.
Requirements:
- 7-10 years of experience in software engineering.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience designing and delivering distributed systems and large-scale applications, using AI tools like Claude and Copilot.
- Proficiency in cloud-native development, containerization, and modern development tools and frameworks.
- Strong skills in system performance, scalability, fault tolerance, and observability.
- Demonstrated ability to lead by example, mentor peers, and drive engineering excellence.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration, problem-solving, and communication skills.
