Role: Strategy & AnalyticsThis role sits inside the Strategy team within the Founders Office — which means you'll be working on problems that matter to the business. You will own the data layer — building dashboards, maintaining reporting pipelines, and generating insights — but you'll be expected to go beyond execution. The best analysts on this team don't wait to be asked. They surface anomalies, challenge assumptions, and walk into strategy discussions with a point of view.
Key Responsibilities:Data Infrastructure & Reporting
- Extract, clean, and structure large datasets from multiple sources including transaction logs, user activity data.
- Build and maintain dashboards in Power BI, MoEngage and other analytics platform that are actually used — clear, decision-ready, and updated regularly.
- Create business reports for leadership that go beyond metrics to explain what is happening and why.
- Track and analyze trends in transaction volumes, user behaviour, and payment patterns across cohorts
- Identify user retention opportunities and drop-off patterns by building and monitoring cohort and funnel analyses
- Proactively flag anomalies in data — whether that's a sudden dip in active users, an unusual spike in failed transactions, or a pricing sensitive cohort behaving differently.
Strategic Support
- Partner with the Strategy team to translate business questions into analytical frameworks and answer them with data.
- Support leadership presentations with data that is accurate, well-structured, and clearly communicated.
- Bring a business lens to your analysis — not just what the numbers say, but what they imply for growth, retention, or product direction.
- 1+ years of experience in a data analyst or business analyst role
- Strong SQL — comfortable writing complex queries, joins, aggregations, and window functions without help
- Proficiency in Power BI or a comparable BI tool — you've built dashboards that stakeholders actually rely on
- Excel fluency — pivot tables, lookup functions, scenario modelling
- An analytical mindset that questions data before presenting it — you don't just report numbers, you interrogate them
- Strong Pluses
- Exposure to Python for data manipulation (pandas, basic scripting) — useful but not essential.
- Familiarity with fintech or payments data — transaction-level data, settlement cycles, payment gateway structures.
- Experience with user engagement or CRM analytics tools like MoEngage, CleverTap, or similar.
- Prior work in a startup or fast-moving environment where priorities shift quickly.
