About the role
We are seeking an experienced Lead Engineer – Electrical System Installation (ESI) with 8+ years of aerospace experience to lead aircraft electrical installation design activities across Airbus programs. The role involves technical leadership, work package ownership, solution development, team mentoring, stakeholder management, and ensuring compliance with Airbus design processes, standards, and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Electrical System Installation (ESI) work packages and manage end-to-end project deliverables.
- Define technical solutions for electrical harness routing, equipment installation, and system integration activities.
- Perform and review complex feasibility studies, DMU validations, and installation assessments.
- Ensure compliance with Airbus methodologies, TDD, SIDP, certification requirements, and quality processes.
- Review and approve engineering deliverables including 3D models, F3D, drawings, BOMs, and ECN documentation.
- Manage design changes, MOD implementation, TRS, RDR, DQN, PREPA, and associated configuration activities.
- Drive CI/ECP validation activities and ensure data quality within Airbus PLM environments.
- Interface with Airbus stakeholders, technical focal points, and cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues.
- Lead design reviews, peer reviews, and technical governance meetings.
- Mentor and coach engineers, ensuring technical capability development within the team.
- Support project planning, effort estimation, risk management, and delivery tracking.
- Drive process improvements, standardization initiatives, lessons learned, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Ensure adherence to schedule, quality, and program milestones.
