Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Functional Electrical Engineer with 8+ years of expertise in aircraft electrical systems, functional design, wiring definition, and system integration. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end electrical functional design activities, including requirement analysis, schematic development, design validation, configuration management, and engineering change implementation. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with Airbus standards, customer requirements, and aerospace industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze aircraft electrical system requirements and define functional electrical architecture.
• Perform Technical Requirement Specification (TRS) analysis and ensure requirement compliance.
• Develop, review, and maintain Functional Diagrams (FD), Wiring Diagrams, Extended Principle Diagrams (EPD), and Electrical Schematics.
• Create, validate, and manage Wiring Definition (WD) data.
• Perform electrical functional analysis and system behaviour assessment.
• Conduct design validation activities, Design Rule Checks (DRC), and data integrity verification.
• Support CIRCE activities, issue investigations, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Perform impact analysis for engineering changes, modifications, and retrofit activities.
• Process and manage Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) in accordance with configuration management requirements.
• Create and validate Bills of Materials (BOMs), wire data, and electrical bundle definitions.
• Coordinate with electrical harness design, installation, manufacturing, integration, and certification teams.
• Ensure traceability of requirements throughout the design lifecycle.
• Prepare, review, and release engineering documentation in compliance with Airbus standards and processes.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
• Participate in customer meetings, technical reviews, and project discussions.

• Strong understanding of Functional Diagrams (FD) and Functional Design methodologies.
• Experience in electrical schematic creation and wiring diagram development.

• Experience in design validation, DRC reviews, and compliance checks.
• Strong knowledge of engineering change management and configuration control.
• Ability to perform impact assessment and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
• Understanding of aerospace development lifecycle and requirement traceability.

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Avionics Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Exposure to the complete aircraft electrical development lifecycle from requirements to implementation and support.
