About the role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Historian, Systems, and Software Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our enterprise industrial data architectures. In this role, you will bridge the gap between operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT) by leveraging industrial historians, SCADA systems, custom software development, and cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in GE Proficy Historian and hands-on experience developing enterprise-grade software solution environments to support continuous manufacturing processes and real-time data analytics.

Responsibilities:

  • Industrial Historian and SCADA Management: Design, deploy, configure, and maintain GE Proficy Historian and related applications (GE Plant Applications, GE iFIX).
  • Software and Application Development: Build custom integrations, services, and software solutions using C# (. NET), JavaScript, and T-SQL.
  • Data Integration and Messaging: Implement robust data pipelines and communication interfaces using OPC UA, OPC AE, and messaging platforms like RabbitMQ.
  • Database and Visualization: Architect and maintain relational and time-series databases (SQL Server, InfluxDB) and build real-time monitoring dashboards in Grafana.
  • Cloud and OT Infrastructure: Manage and optimize Azure infrastructure, enterprise network connectivity, and secure OT/IT environments (including Citrix Workspace administration).
  • DevOps and Standards: Enforce continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD), maintain version control, and follow best software design patterns across all engineering initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Historian Systems: Expertise in GE Proficy Historian (Must Have), GE Plant Applications, and GE iFIX client development.
  • SCADA and Control Systems: Practical experience with GE iFIX, Siemens PCS7 or Wonderware.
  • Industrial Protocols: Strong working knowledge of OPC UA and OPC AE.
  • Programming Languages: Proficiency in C# (. NET), JavaScript, and T-SQL.
  • Databases: Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, GE Proficy Historian, and time-series databases like InfluxDB.
  • Messaging and Visualization: Working knowledge of RabbitMQ and Grafana.
  • Cloud and Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with Azure infrastructure management.
  • Engineering Practices: Solid understanding of CI/CD, version control (Git), software design patterns, and enterprise application development.
  • Networking and OT Security: Familiarity with OT/IT infrastructure integration, system networking, and Citrix Workspace administration.
