Required Technical Skill Set •Strong hands‑on experience installing, configuring, and administering Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud, including clustering, high availability, and environment setup. •Proficiency in managing upgrades, patches, migrations, and platform maintenance. •Expertise in managing users, groups, roles, permissions, and project-level access controls. •Experience with authentication systems such as Active Directory (AD), SSO, and enterprise identity management. •Ability to monitor Tableau Server performance, conduct capacity planning, optimize extracts, tune queries, and ensure high system availability. •Familiarity with connecting Tableau to enterprise data sources like Snowflake, SQL Server, Databricks, Synapse, Fabric, and cloud data platforms. •Understanding of data governance, metadata management, and certified data source practices. •Ability to manage extract refresh schedules, subscriptions, alerts, and automated workflows. •Experience publishing workbooks, managing data sources, organizing projects, and governing content lifecycle.
