About the role
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Tableau Administrator to manage support and optimise the Tableau platform across enterprise environments The ideal candidate will be responsible for Tableau Server administration security performance tuning upgrades monitoring user support and governance while ensuring high availability and reliability of BI services
Key Responsibilities
Tableau Server Administration
Install configure upgrade and maintain Tableau Server environments
Manage singlenode and multinode Tableau Server deployments
Perform server migrations backup restore and disaster recovery activities
Configure High Availability HA and ensure business continuity
User Security Management
Create and manage users groups projects and site roles
Implement RoleBased Access Control RBAC
Configure Active Directory LDAP SAML and Single SignOn SSO
Ensure compliance with security and governance standards
Performance Monitoring Optimisation
Monitor Tableau Server health CPU memory storage and background processes
Analyse server logs and identify performance bottlenecks
Optimise dashboard performance extract refreshes and server utilisation
Implement best practices for scalability and reliability
Platform Maintenance
Perform patching upgrades SSL certificate renewals and maintenance activities
Schedule and monitor extract refreshes and subscriptions
Maintain backup schedules and recovery procedures
Coordinate production deployments and change management activities
Production Support
Troubleshoot Tableau Server issues access problems and connectivity failures
Support incident problem and change management processes
Work with application infrastructure and database teams for issue resolution
Ensure SLA compliance for incidents and service requests
Governance Reporting
Manage licensing and subscription usage
Track server utilisation and user adoption metrics
Maintain operational documentation and runbooks
Drive platform governance and standardisation initiatives
Required Skills
Tableau Server Administration 5 years preferred
Tableau Desktop Tableau Prep
WindowsLinux Administration
Active Directory SAML LDAP SSO
SQL and database fundamentals Oracle SQL Server PostgreSQL
Server monitoring and performance tuning
Backup Recovery and Disaster Recovery
ITIL Processes Incident Problem Change Management
ServiceNow or equivalent ticketing tools
Good to Have
Tableau Certified Administrator certification
Experience in Banking Healthcare or Pharma domains
Cloud platforms AWSAzure
Power BI Administration
Automation using PowerShell Python or Shell scripting
