We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Tax Manager to lead and manage the Group's direct tax compliance, tax advisory, and tax governance activities across the AMEA region. The role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with corporate income tax, withholding tax, and other direct tax obligations across multiple jurisdictions, while providing strategic tax advice to business stakeholders and supporting corporate initiatives. The successful candidate will also drive tax process improvements, strengthen internal controls, manage relationships with external advisors and tax authorities, and work with a team responsible for regional tax operations.

This is a high-visibility role that requires strong technical tax expertise, stakeholder management skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a complex multinational environment. It also represents a unique opportunity to join a small in-house global team of experienced tax professionals.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage corporate income tax, withholding tax, and other direct tax compliance obligations across jurisdictions.

  • Manage quarterly and annual tax provision processes, including tax accounting and financial statement disclosures under IFRS and local GAAP.

  • Serve as the primary tax advisor to business and finance stakeholders on cross-border transactions, business initiatives, and commercial arrangements.

  • Provide technical guidance on corporate tax, withholding tax and international tax, impacting operations across jurisdictions.

  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and regulatory developments across region and assess their impact on the business.

  • Lead and coordinate responses to tax audits, tax authority enquiries, assessments, and disputes across the region.

  • Identify and mitigate tax risks while ensuring appropriate documentation and support for key tax positions.

  • Manage relationships with external tax advisors, auditors, and tax authorities to ensure high-quality and cost-effective support.

  • Lead, coach, and develop regional tax team members, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

  • Partner with Finance, Legal, Treasury, HR, and business leaders to support strategic projects, restructurings, and operational initiatives.

  • Drive process improvement, standardization, and automation of tax compliance and reporting activities across AMEA.

  • Support tax planning, cash repatriation strategies, and other initiatives aimed at optimizing the Group's overall tax position while maintaining compliance.

About You

  • Professional accounting and/or tax qualifications as well as significant tax experience gained with a leading accountancy firm and/or an in-house multinational tax team.

  • Previous related tax and accounting experience (10 to 15 years) with exposure to countries in the AMEA region will be of an added advantage.

  • Highly motivated individual with appetite for working in a fast-paced and commercially oriented business.

  • Organised and methodical individual, with the ability to plan and organise work effectively, delivering to deadlines.

  • Excellent communicator, both verbally and written, adopting the most appropriate medium for the situation.

  • Analytical, innovative, with good research and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience of multiple-country CIT regimes and international tax aspects.
