About the role
- Azure SQL Database / Managed Instance
- SQL Server in Azure or AWS
- SSIS, SSRS, SSAS Administration
- CI/CD and DevOps exposure
- Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins
- Knowledge of Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL

- Administer and maintain SQL Server databases across Development, UAT, and Production environments.
- Monitor database health, availability, and performance.
- Perform backup, restore, disaster recovery, and failover testing activities.
- Troubleshoot database issues related to performance, blocking, deadlocks, and connectivity.
- Implement and manage Always On Availability Groups, Clustering, and Replication.
- Execute database patching, upgrades, and migration activities with minimal downtime.
- Perform capacity planning and database growth forecasting.
- Develop automation scripts for monitoring and maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and support teams.
- Ensure compliance with security, governance, and audit requirements.
- Participate in on-call support and critical incident management
