ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Highly technical, market-focused Technical Product Manager to spearhead the product lifestyle and application development of our high-performance resin and polymer portfolios (Acrylics, Alkyds, PVA, Polyesters, and Adhesives). In this hybrid role, the candidate will lead the go-to-market product development rollout while concurrently serving as the primary technical services champion for our customers and internal sales/application teams.
Operating at the critical intersection of business and science, candidate will act as the strategic bridge between R&D and Sales, translating complex emulsion polymer chemistry into compelling commercial value propositions, managing field trials, and conducting rigorous competitive benchmarking
1. Product Management & Strategic Rollout
- Lead the cross-functional product development rollout and commercialization strategy for new and modified polymer formulations from concept to launch.
- Define the product lifecycle roadmaps for the specialized product segments: Acrylics, Alkyds, Polyvinyl Acetate (PVA), Polyester, and Formulated Adhesives.
- Conduct systematic competition benchmarking, analyzing competitor product sheets, pricing structures, and performance profiles to identify white spaces in the market.
- Formulate clear value propositions, datasheets, and applications collateral to maximize market adoption.
2. Technical Services & Application Support
- Serve as the trusted technical adviser to key industrial clients, articulating complex emulsion polymerization mechanics, polymer architecture, and film-forming processes in simple, value-driven language.
- Provide robust technical services supporting the Sales and Application teams, directly driving revenue by solving complex customer formulation issues, paint/coating failures, or bonding anomalies.
- Lead on-site customer trials and scale-up testing, troubleshooting application challenges (e.g., rheology, VOC, curing time, tensile strength) under real-world industrial conditions.
- Oversee laboratory application testing, ensuring that validation matrices match customer-specific target substrates and environmental demands.
3. R&D and Sales Bridge
- Translate unstructured marketplace feedback and customer pain points into exact technical specifications for the R&D team.
- Filter R&D capabilities through a commercial lens, ensuring that laboratory innovations are scalable, cost-effective, and aligned with market needs.
- Train internal sales teams on technical updates, competitive differentiation, and emerging application techniques.
