About the role
Role PurposePlan, execute, and report independent tests that validate specifications and claims for electrical products. Provide clear, evidence-based results to support product launches and ensure ongoing quality.
Key Responsibilities· Test Planning: Translate product requirements/specifications into detailed test cases, limits, and acceptance criteria (performance, durability, safety checks, environmental tests).· Execution: Conduct controlled lab and field-simulation tests; ensure repeatability and traceability; document raw data with photos/videos.· Claims Validation: Verify product/marketing claims (output, efficiency, noise, duty cycle, thermal behavior); quantify variances and suggest corrective actions.· Benchmarking: Evaluate products against competitor or reference samples; provide comparative analysis with clear insights.· Pre-Compliance Checks: Perform preliminary safety, ingress, and environmental assessments; liaise with accredited labs for certification.· Issue Analysis: Reproduce defects, capture conditions, and support root-cause analysis with suppliers/engineering teams.· Reporting: Prepare test plans, validation sheets, and detailed test reports; provide Go/No-Go recommendations for product readiness.
Appliance Scope (examples): Mixer-grinders/blenders, juicers, air fryers, ovens/toasters, kettles, cooktops, rice cookers, hand/stand mixers, etc.
Requirements· B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics (or equivalent).· 1–6 years of experience in product testing/validation of electrical systems, appliances, or consumer electronics.· Strong measurement discipline; hands-on with lab equipment and test rigs.· Proficiency in data analysis (Excel/other tools) and technical report writing.· Detail-oriented with the ability to communicate findings clearly to cross-functional teams.
