About the role

Are you enthusiastic about how transportation, land use, socioeconomics, and technology intersect and its real-world impacts on people’s lives and communities? Do you have a passion to empower regional planning policies and decisions with state-of-the-art transportation planning tools? Are you ready to take on the challenge to deliver highly innovative transportation planning projects that will shape and inspire a sustainable, prosperous, and resilient future? If so, consider joining our innovative Planning team at WSP! for Canada Business. We are looking for a Junior or Intermediate Transportation Planner/Engineer/Data Scientist to join our team.

We focus on the development and application of travel demand models to support multi-modal transportation planning and policy projects. We specialize in advanced, activity-based demand modelling techniques to forecast regional population travel patterns and future transportation networks given proposed land uses, transportation infrastructure, and policies. Our proven record for developing industry-leading solutions include the Cities, Municipalities and Regional Travel Demand Model and its implementations. We are trusted advisors and close collaborators with municipal, regional, and provincial governments, transportation agencies, and academia.

We are also actively growing Transportation Planning practice that is rooted in our team’s strong data analytics and visualization capabilities. This involves developing bespoke software solutions to help clients analyze large and complex data sources to derive useful insights and answer complex questions.

As a member of the GCC Planning team, you will be part of a forward-thinking team that seeks to improve transportation mobility through the delivery of travel demand models and data-driven insights. Depending on the project, work may involve a combination of macro/meso/microscopic modelling, and data science. You will also be part of the broader, multi-disciplinary Transportation Planning and Science practice and will closely collaborate with other planners and engineers on transportation master plans, secondary plans, environmental assessments, policy studies, and other transportation planning projects.

We offer a team-focused environment that encourages rapid career growth, flexible work arrangements, and a highly competitive benefits package. Join us and be part of a leading national professional services firm that is committed to designing and planning sustainable cities!
