  • Refactor and modernize legacy code toward modern C++ (C++11/14/17), improving maintainability and performance.
  • Plan and execute incremental migration of MFC components to. NET (WinForms/WPF) where appropriate.
  • Write clean, well-documented, testable code and participate in code reviews.
  • Work with QA, product, and client teams to gather requirements, estimate work, and deliver on schedule.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in Visual C++ development on Windows.
  • Strong hands-on experience with MFC application development.
  • Solid working knowledge of C# and the. NET Framework/. NET (6+).
  • Experience with C++/CLI, COM/ActiveX, and P/Invoke for native-managed interop.
  • Good understanding of the Win32 API, Windows messaging, multithreading, and memory management.
  • Proficiency with Visual Studio, debugging tools, and version control (Git/TFS/Azure DevOps).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate large, legacy codebases.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with WPF or WinForms.
  • Familiarity with STL, Boost, and modern C++ features.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server, ODBC/ADO, or other database access from C++ and. NET.
  • Exposure to installers (WiX, InstallShield) and Windows deployment.
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks (Google Test, MSTest, NUnit).
  • Background in BFSI or other regulated enterprise domains.
  • Interest in integrating AI capabilities into desktop applications.
