About the role
- Oversee day-to-day warehouse activities including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching of products
- Optimize warehouse space utilization and ensure smooth operational flow
- Implement strategies to improve efficiency and productivity
- Ensure accurate inventory management, stock rotation, and minimize discrepancies
- Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile inventory with system records
- Collaborate with supply chain teams for demand forecasting and stock planning
- Lead, manage, and motivate warehouse staff to achieve operational goals
- Conduct performance evaluations, set targets, and provide ongoing training
- Ensure adherence to company policies and operational procedures
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
- Monitor the use of PPE and safe material handling practices
- Conduct regular audits to maintain safety and legal compliance
- Coordinate with sales, operations, and supply chain teams for timely dispatches
- Manage logistics planning, delivery schedules, and route optimization
- Ensure timely order fulfillment and efficient shipment handling
- Continuously evaluate and improve warehouse processes to enhance efficiency
- Leverage warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking and reporting
- Implement cost-saving and accuracy-enhancing initiatives
- Prepare reports on inventory status, operational performance, and team productivity
- Maintain accurate documentation for receipts, dispatches, and returns
- Ensure all records are updated and aligned with system data
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- In-depth knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Minimum 7 years of experience in warehouse management or supply chain operations
- At least 3 years of experience in a leadership role
