About the role

🧠 Role OverviewSALTY is looking for a Warehouse Manager who can set up, stabilise, and scale our 15,000 sq ft warehouse operations. This role is ideal for someone who has run mid-scale e-commerce warehouses and is comfortable getting their hands dirty while building systems.You will be responsible for inventory accuracy, picking/packing speed, manpower productivity, layout optimisation, and SOP discipline—while preparing the warehouse for the next phase of growth.🎯 Key Responsibilities1. Warehouse Operations & ExecutionOwn inbound, storage, picking, packing, dispatch, and returns end-to-endEnsure same-day dispatch SLAs for D2C and marketplace ordersReduce order errors, RTO leakage, and packing defectsManage peak loads during sales, drops, and launches2. Inventory & Accuracy ControlMaintain ≥99% inventory accuracy across systems and physical stockImplement bin-level inventory disciplineLead daily cycle counts, weekly audits, and monthly full countsIdentify ageing, dead stock, and mismatches proactively3. Layout, Systems & Process SetupDesign and continuously improve warehouse layout (racks, bins, fast/slow movers)Create and enforce SOPs for:GRN & inward QCPutaway logicPicking (batch / wave / zone based)Packing & QCReturns & refurbDrive adoption of WMS / Unicommerce / Shopify flows4. Team & Manpower ManagementManage warehouse supervisors, pickers, packers, QC staffDefine productivity benchmarks (orders/hour, lines/hour)Create shift planning, rosters, and peak staffing plansTrain team on process, accuracy, and hygiene standards5. Cost, Productivity & Continuous ImprovementImprove cost per order shippedReduce damages, losses, and reworkIntroduce Kaizen / small automation / layout optimisationsTrack KPIs daily and review with founders weekly6.
