About the role
Infosys is seeking a Oracle DBA. The candidate will be a key player in the consulting team that helps discover and define the problem statement, evaluates the solution options and makes recommendations. Candidate will create detailed design, architecture and process artifacts and implement the deployment plan. Candidate will also support knowledge transfer with the objective of providing value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.
Required Qualifications:
•Candidate can work from anywhere within the U.S. This position may require travelling to client locations.
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education
• At least 4 years of experience with Information Technology.
• At least 4 years of experience in Administration of Oracle 11g,12 C,19C.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in Performance tuning.
• Analytical and Communication skills.
• Planning and Co-ordination skills.
• Experience with project management
• Experience and desire to work in a management consulting environment that requires regular travel.
• At least 4 years of experience in Install, upgrade, maintain and support Oracle Instances on AIX operating system.
• At least 2 years of experience in Oracle RAC
• At least 2 years of experience in capturing requirements related to internal/external consulting, documenting, and mapping current business process.
• Expertise in Oracle Data Guard and standby databases troubleshoot the log shipping issues and logs maintenance.
• Experience in Oracle RAC environment.
• Expertise in backup/recovery strategies using RMAN and with datapump utility.
• Patching the Oracle home through Opatch utility.
• Strong trouble shooting, problem solving, analytical and design skills.
• Good knowledge on SHELL Scripting, UNIX Commands to identify the OS level database parameters and resolve issues
• Strong communication and Analytical skills
• Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment
The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
