About the role
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Android Developer to join our engineering team. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining Android applications, ensuring high performance and responsiveness, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless user experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform using Kotlin/Java.
- Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Work with outside data sources and APIs (RESTful, GraphQL, etc. ).
- Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
- Identify and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks.
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
- Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in Android application development.
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
- Experience working with Jetpack components, Coroutines, LiveData, and ViewModel.
- Solid understanding of the Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.
- Experience with third-party libraries and APIs (Retrofit, Glide, Room, etc. ).
- Familiarity with MVVM/MVI architecture.
- Proficient understanding of Git and version control.
- Experience with Firebase, push notifications, and analytics tools.
- Knowledge of performance optimization and memory management.
- Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in publishing apps on the Play Store.
- Exposure to Jetpack Compose is a plus.
- Knowledge of security best practices in mobile development.
- Prior experience working in a startup or fast-paced environment.
