About the role
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced API Automation Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated tests for our APIs using Python and Selenium.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop automated tests for APIs using Python and Selenium
- Write efficient, scalable, and maintainable test code
- Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with automated tests
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with other systems
- Stay up-to-date with the latest API automation tools and technologies
- Develop and maintain test frameworks and test data management systems
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in API automation testing
- Strong knowledge of Python programming language and Selenium framework
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or Pytest
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI
- Experience with version control systems such as Git
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Nice to Have:
- Experience with cloud-based APIs and microservices architecture
- Knowledge of containerization using Docker
- Experience with test-driven development (TDD) and behavior-driven development (BDD)
- Certification in API automation testing or related technologies
