About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Junior Backend Developer to contribute to the development, maintenance, and optimization of scalable backend systems and APIs. The ideal candidate should have strong programming fundamentals, a good understanding of backend application development, and the ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code.

Experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and relational databases will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance scalable backend applications and services.

• Build, integrate, and consume RESTful APIs.

• Work with relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL.

• Apply strong programming fundamentals and data structures to solve technical problems.

• Implement and maintain backend functionality involving authentication, caching, API design, and database operations.

• Debug production issues and contribute to reliable application performance.

• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.

• Collaborate with senior engineers to develop and maintain backend services and modules.

• Gradually take independent ownership of assigned services and technical deliverables.

• Work with microservices, cloud infrastructure, messaging systems, Docker, or Kubernetes where applicable.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in backend development or software engineering.

• Strong programming fundamentals and understanding of backend application development.

• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and database concepts.

• Experience building and consuming REST APIs.

• Good understanding of API design, authentication, and caching.

• Familiarity with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.

• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
