Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Database Developer with strong expertise in Oracle or MongoDB development and administrative capabilities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in database design, performance tuning, maintenance, and data visualization. Experience with Tableau for reporting and analytics will be considered an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain database solutions using Oracle or MongoDB.
- Perform database administration tasks including installation, configuration, backup, recovery, and security management.
- Optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing, and partitioning strategies.
- Collaborate with application developers to design and implement efficient data models and queries.
- Ensure database reliability, availability, and scalability across environments.
- Develop and maintain scripts for automation, monitoring, and deployment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.
- Create dashboards and reports using Tableau (optional but preferred).
- Support data migration, integration, and version control initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong hands-on experience as a Database Developer in Oracle or MongoDB environments.
- Proven experience with Database Administration tasks (installations, upgrades, patching, backups, user management, etc.).
- Expertise in SQL (for Oracle) or NoSQL (for MongoDB) query design and optimization.
- Familiarity with database performance monitoring tools and best practices.
- Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and schema design.
- Experience with Tableau or other BI tools is a strong plus.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Shell, or PowerShell) preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or MongoDB Certified DBA/Developer are a plus.
- Exposure to cloud-based databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, MongoDB Atlas) is desirable.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Tableau dashboard development and data visualization.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for database deployment.
