About the role
Responsibilities:
- Assist with database development efforts, including database design, coding, and documentation.
- Writing and modifying medium- to complex-stored procedures and triggers.
- Develop complex reports using SSRS.
- SQL programming and general database administration.
- Usage of databases available on the cloud is preferred but not mandatory.
- Analyzes, troubleshoots, and debugs the stored procedures from a performance tuning perspective.
- Must have proven ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines and well-developed time management skills.
- Prepare design specifications and functional documentation for assigned database projects.
- Identify any issues related to database performance and provide corrective measures.
- Create complex functions, scripts, stored procedures, and triggers to support application development.
- Provides general support on information technology to design, develop, execute, and maintain the database.
- Test databases and perform bug fixes.
- Evaluate existing databases and recommend improvements for performance efficiency.
Requirements:
- Strong skills in database technologies (Microsoft SQL Server), including database development (T-SQL).
- Experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS).
- Good understanding of object-oriented design concepts.
- Strong knowledge of systems and software development life cycles, application integration techniques, and relational database design.
- Sound knowledge of the Scrum methodology of agile software development and its application.
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline or related field.
