This role goes beyond project execution — it requires design leadership, client strategy, revenue ownership, and mentorship of junior designers.</span><span style="font-family:DarwinSans, Roboto, sans-serif;color:rgb(19,19,19);">As a Principal Designer, you will manage premium customers end-to-end — from consultation and concept development to order booking and production alignment — ensuring exceptional design quality, commercial success, and superior customer satisfaction.</span><span style="font-family:DarwinSans, Roboto, sans-serif;color:rgb(19,19,19);">This role demands strong design expertise, site and execution knowledge, stakeholder management skills, and the ability to handle complex, high-ticket projects independently.</span><span style="font-family:DarwinSans, Roboto, sans-serif;color:rgb(19,19,19);font-weight:bolder;">Key Responsibilities</span><span style="font-family:DarwinSans, Roboto, sans-serif;color:rgb(19,19,19);">● Own and lead a portfolio of high-value HomeLane customers from first consultation through order booking and final design sign-off.</span><span style="font-family:DarwinSans, Roboto, sans-serif;color:rgb(19,19,19);">● Translate client requirements into innovative, functional, and premium design solutions aligned with budget and feasibility.</span><span style="font-family:DarwinSans, Roboto, sans-serif;color:rgb(19,19,19);">● Drive revenue by confidently presenting, influencing, and closing design proposals.</span><span style="font-family:DarwinSans, Roboto, sans-serif;color:rgb(19,19,19);">● Create accurate quotations, detailed concepts, and production-ready drawings for manufacturing.</span><span style="font-family:DarwinSans, Roboto, sans-serif;color:rgb(19,19,19);">● Ensure designs are technically sound and installation-friendly with minimal site escalations.</span><span style="font-family:DarwinSans, Roboto, sans-serif;color:rgb(19,19,19);">● Proactively identify and resolve client concerns and execution challenges.</span><span style="font-family:DarwinSans, Roboto, sans-serif;color:rgb(19,19,19);">● Coordinate closely with production, operations, and installation teams for seamless delivery.</span><span style="font-family:DarwinSans, Roboto, sans-serif;color:rgb(19,19,19);">● Mentor and guide junior designers, ensuring design excellence and best practices.</span><span style="font-family:DarwinSans, Roboto, sans-serif;color:rgb(19,19,19);">● Contribute to process improvements and uphold HomeLane’s design and quality standards. </span><span style="font-family:DarwinSans, Roboto, sans-serif;color:rgb(19,19,19);font-weight:bolder;">Required Expertise & Qualifications</span><span style="font-family:DarwinSans, Roboto, sans-serif;color:rgb(19,19,19);">● Minimum 5+ year Degree in Interior Designing or Architecture from a reputed institution.</span><span style="font-family:DarwinSans, Roboto, sans-serif;color:rgb(19,19,19);">● Strong hands-on site experience with deep understanding of installation feasibility and execution challenges.</span><span style="font-family:DarwinSans, Roboto, sans-serif;color:rgb(19,19,19);">● Proven experience handling premium residential interior projects.</span><span style="font-family:DarwinSans, Roboto, sans-serif;color:rgb(19,19,19);">● Strong commercial acumen with the ability to drive conversions and manage high-value customers.</span><span style="font-family:DarwinSans, Roboto, sans-serif;color:rgb(19,19,19);">● Proficiency in Google SketchUp (mandatory); working knowledge of rendering tools such as Enscape or V-Ray will be an added advantage.</span><span style="font-family:DarwinSans, Roboto, sans-serif;color:rgb(19,19,19);">● Strong knowledge of space planning, modular furniture systems, materials, and production processes.</span><span style="font-family:DarwinSans, Roboto, sans-serif;color:rgb(19,19,19);">● Highly customer-centric mindset with the ability to balance design, functionality, timelines, and budget.</span><span style="font-family:DarwinSans, Roboto, sans-serif;color:rgb(19,19,19);">● Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. ● Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of the local language is an added advantage.</span>
