About the role
The core responsibilities for the job include the following:
Infrastructure and Systems:
- Design and scale Kubernetes-native infrastructure.
- Architect and optimize large-scale distributed systems.
- Work on high-scale, production-grade infrastructure environments.
- Contribute to proprietary backend architecture powering the AI/Agent stack.
- Improve system efficiency and reduce deployment costs.
- Push hardware limits through advanced GPU/CPU optimizations.
AI-Native Development:
- Write and ship production code using AI-powered development tools.
- Mandatory hands-on usage of Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, and Windsurf.
Performance and Optimization:
- GPU optimization.
- CPU optimization.
- Performance tuning at infrastructure and backend levels.
- Cost-performance tradeoff improvements at scale.
R& D and Innovation:
- Collaborate on rapid R& D cycles for new AI and computer vision features.
- Experiment with scalable infrastructure for AI model deployment.
- Solve complex infra challenges alongside the CTO.
Requirements:
- Strong background in infrastructure and backend engineering (infra-heavy).
- Experience scaling infrastructure in production environments.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems.
- Kubernetes-native architecture experience.
- Prior startup experience (early-stage preferred).
- Proven experience working on scaled systems.
- Comfortable working in high-ownership, low-structure environments.
