Job Summary –
Senior Jira Developer with 5+ years of industry experience. Must have deep understanding of Jira administration (e.g., scripting, plugins like ScriptRunner, workflow customization) and Jira Service Desk management. Must possess very good documentation skills and communication skills and be able to interact with customers directly. Must be a self-starter and have great appetite to learn the industry trends and new technologies.

Technical Skills:
· Design and implement advanced Jira workflows, custom fields, and automation rules, including writing complex JQL queries to filter, analyze, and report on project data
· Manage and configure Jira projects, boards, and dashboards to support Agile/Scrum/Kanban teams.
· Administer Jira Service Desk for IT service management, including ticket resolution, SLAs, and customer portals.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, prioritize tasks, and resolve blockers.
· Mentor team members on JQL usage, database querying, and best practices for Agile tool administration.
· Architect and manage Confluence spaces, templates, and macros to create robust documentation systems, ensuring knowledge retention and team alignment.
· Leverage Rally for in-depth backlog grooming, sprint planning, and advanced reporting, providing actionable insights to leadership and stakeholders.
· Lead process improvements by identifying bottlenecks, integrating tools (e.g., Jira with Confluence or third-party apps), and implementing best practices.
· Troubleshoot and resolve complex tool-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
· Analyze data from Jira and Rally to produce detailed performance metrics, forecasting reports, and process health assessments.
· Certifications such as Jira Administrator, Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), Agile methodologies, or database management (e.g., SQL certification).
· Experience with scripting (e.g., Groovy, Python) for JQL enhancements or database automation.
· Familiarity with API integrations between Jira, Rally, and external databases or tools.
· Experience integrating Jira with other tools (e.g., Slack, GitHub, or CI/CD pipelines).
· Background in DevOps, software development, or IT operations, with knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
Certifications Needed:
· Industry relevant certifications desirable
Qualification: Educational qualification: B.Tech, BE, BCA, MCA, M. Tech or equivalent (preferably in Computer Science field of specialization) from a reputed college.
