Module Lead - Systems

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Engineer with a strong background in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and hands-on experience with mainframe systems. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of our systems while providing exceptional technical support to our clients. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a deep understanding of both SRE principles and mainframe technologies.

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for complex system issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
• Implement and maintain SRE practices to enhance system reliability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy scalable solutions.
• Monitor system performance and conduct regular health checks to identify potential issues before they impact operations.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to system configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Lead incident response efforts, coordinating with various teams to resolve issues swiftly and effectively.
• Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical systems.
• Train and mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to enhance system performance and reliability.

• Proven expertise in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and practices.
• Hands-on experience with mainframe systems and technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complex technical environments.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation tasks.
• Experience with monitoring tools and performance tuning.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms and services.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet).
• Understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
• Certifications in relevant technologies or methodologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, ITIL).

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
