Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Billing Operations Specialist with expertise in Bill Cycle Management and End-of-Day Execution to support critical billing operations within a telecom environment. The candidate will be responsible for managing billing calendars, executing daily and monthly billing processes, monitoring EOD activities, ensuring successful completion of billing cycles, and maintaining operational excellence across billing platforms.
The role requires strong experience in telecom billing systems, batch processing, reconciliation, production support, and incident management to ensure accurate and timely bill generation while meeting business SLAs.
Key Responsibilities:
Bill Cycle Management
- Manage end-to-end bill cycle activities across prepaid, postpaid, enterprise, and wholesale billing platforms.
- Plan, schedule, and execute billing cycles in accordance with business calendars and billing schedules.
- Monitor critical billing milestones including pre-bill validation, rating, bill run, invoice generation, and post-billing activities.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of billing cycles within agreed SLAs.
- Coordinate with Billing, Mediation, Revenue Assurance, Finance, and Customer Operations teams during billing execution.
End-of-Day Operations
- Execute and monitor daily EOD processes across billing and customer management systems.
- Validate successful completion of batch jobs, interfaces, reconciliations, and settlement processes.
- Analyze and resolve EOD exceptions, failures, and data processing issues.
- Ensure completion of daily operational health checks and controls.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and financial closing activities.

- Knowledge of escalation and incident management processes
- Ability to work in shift based environments (24 by 7 operations)
- Strong coordination and teamwork skills

- Exposure to SLA and KPI management and compliance
- Basic understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management)
- Experience with ServiceNow, Salesforce, or CRM platforms.
- SQL knowledge for data validation and reporting.
Production Support & Monitoring
- Provide L2 L3 operational support for Billing applications and EOD processes.
- Monitor application health, billing jobs, workflows, and batch executions.
- Investigate billing delays, processing bottlenecks, and system failures.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.
- Participate in major incident management and critical business bridge calls.
Batch Processing & Job Scheduling
- Monitor and manage batch processing activities using enterprise scheduling tools.
- Validate execution of dependent jobs and downstream processing.
- Manage reruns, recovery procedures, and exception handling.
- Optimize batch processing performance and execution timelines.
