About the role
This role is about building the Sales engine at a company where the product is strong, the market opportunity is large, and the go-to-market playbook is still being written. You'll own the full sales cycle. You'll work qualified leads, run demos, handle objections, and negotiate. You'll also shape how we sell: what messaging works, which segments convert, and what the sales process should look like as we scale.
Responsibilities:
- Own the sales cycle, run demos, manage objections, negotiate terms, and close.
- Develop and refine the Company's sales messaging, pitch, and positioning based on real conversations with prospects.
- Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline by working both inbound leads and self-sourced outbound opportunities.
- Identify and engage decision-makers: CFOs, heads of FP& A, ops leaders, and business analysts at target companies.
- Conduct compelling product demos that connect Coreworks' capabilities to specific prospect pain points around reporting, data workflows, and manual spreadsheet work.
- Develop a strategic approach to target segments: which industries, company sizes, and personas convert best and why.
- Maintain a disciplined CRM practice: accurate pipeline data, deal stages, forecasting, and activity tracking.
- Provide regular reporting to the founders on pipeline health, conversion metrics, win/loss patterns, and market feedback.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure alignment between outbound sales, inbound content, and marketing efforts.
- Experiment with sales tools, AI-assisted outreach, and new channels to improve efficiency and conversion.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in inside sales, B2B SaaS sales, or technology sales with a consistent track record of meeting or exceeding quota.
- Proven ability to manage the full sales cycle, not just prospecting, but qualifying, demoing, negotiating, and closing.
- Experience selling to mid-market or enterprise accounts, ideally to finance, operations, or business intelligence buyers.
- Strong discovery and consultative selling skills: you diagnose problems before prescribing solutions.
- Experience with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar) and a disciplined approach to pipeline management, enabled via AI.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; you can hold a room (or a Zoom) with senior stakeholders.
- Comfort with ambiguity you've either worked at an early-stage company or you thrive in environments where the playbook doesn't exist yet.
- Analytical mindset you track your own metrics, spot patterns in win/loss data, and use insights to improve.
- Experience selling AI, data, analytics, or workflow automation products (plus).
- Familiarity with the pain points of finance teams, FP& A, and business reporting workflows (plus).
- Experience using AI tools to enhance sales, personalized outreach, call analysis, and prospect research.
- Prior experience of managing teams.
- Experience selling into global markets, particularly US and international accounts from an India base.
