About the role
We are looking for an experienced SAP FICO Consultant with strong hands-on expertise in SAP Financial Accounting (FI), along with good exposure to Controlling (CO). The ideal candidate should have practical experience in Record to Report (R2R), financial accounting processes, SAP configuration, and integration with other SAP modules.
Responsibilities:
- Configure and support SAP FI modules, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Asset Accounting (AA).
- Handle Record to Report (R2R) activities, including journal entries, accruals, provisions, account reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing.
- Manage financial closing activities and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Work on GL accounting, intercompany transactions, balance sheet reconciliations, and open-item management.
- Handle foreign currency valuation, GR/IR clearing, and related financial processes.
- Understand and work on FI integration with SAP MM and SD modules.
- Have working knowledge of SAP CO functionalities such as Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, and Internal Orders.
- Participate in requirement gathering, business process analysis, configuration, testing, and issue resolution.
- Prepare functional specifications and configuration documentation wherever required.
- Coordinate with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver SAP FICO solutions.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of overall relevant experience.
- Strong hands-on experience in SAP FI.
- Minimum 1 year of practical, hands-on R2R experience.
- Good understanding of GL, AP, AR, and asset accounting.
- Strong knowledge of month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Experience in accruals, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Understanding of FI integration with MM and SD.
- Working knowledge of SAP CO.
Preferred Skills:
- SAP S/4HANA Finance experience.
- SAP FICO implementation, rollout, or enhancement project experience.
- Experience in functional configuration, testing, and documentation.
- Good stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Education: CA / CMA / MBA Finance / M. Com / B. Com or equivalent qualification.
