About the role
Responsibilities:
- Design and build the core Node.js services and REST APIs from scratch, built to scale as we grow.
- Own system design end to end: service boundaries, data flow, caching, queueing, failure modes, and scale.
- Ship AI/ML-powered features, including LLM and agentic capabilities.
- Use LLMs and agentic tooling across the SDLC, from design and code generation to testing and debugging.
- Model data and optimise SQL/NoSQL queries for performance; integrate with third-party platforms.
- Debug production issues, own reliability, and set the engineering standards the rest of the team will grow into.
