About the role
Responsibilities:
- Sets the bar for operational excellence and drives improvements in customer SLAs and system KPIs.
Requirements:
- Software development experience in one or more general-purpose programming languages such as Golang or Python.
- Experience managing and operating containerized applications/systems in production.
- Experience with Kubernetes APIs, writing Kubernetes custom controllers and operators.
- Deep knowledge of Kubernetes Ingress, Egress, and Service Mesh technologies.
- Experience with distributed, multi-tiered systems, caching, and relational databases.
- Effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels internally, from software engineers to managers and cross-functional teams, and across a variety of formats: technical design and external-facing presentations.
- BA/BS in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of industry experience designing and implementing successful large-scale infrastructure on public clouds (AWS).
- 2 years of Kubernetes experience, managing and operating containerized applications/systems in production.
- Software development experience in one or more general-purpose programming languages such as Python or GO, etc.
- Experience with Kubernetes APIs and ability to write Kubernetes custom controllers and operators.
- Expert knowledge of Kubernetes Ingress, Egress, and Service Mesh technologies such as Istio, Envoy, etc.
- Experience with cloud-native continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD) frameworks (ArgoCD, GitHub Actions).
- Experience with distributed, event-driven services and serverless frameworks.
- Have the ability to work in a dynamic agile development environment, as members of the team play a role in the entire life cycle of development.
