About the role
We are hiring on behalf of a leading global telecommunications organisation seeking an experienced Senior iOS Developer to join its high-performing mobile engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to build and enhance large-scale, consumer-facing mobile applications used by millions of customers worldwide.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in native iOS development, modern mobile architecture patterns, performance optimisation, and delivering secure, scalable, and high-quality mobile experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust native iOS applications using Swift and modern iOS frameworks.
- Build scalable, secure, and high-performance mobile solutions that deliver exceptional user experiences.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, Backend Engineers, QA teams, and other stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
- Integrate RESTful APIs, third-party SDKs, analytics platforms, payment solutions, and workflow modules.
- Optimise application performance, responsiveness, memory management, and overall reliability.
- Participate in technical design discussions, architecture reviews, code reviews, and sprint planning activities.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues across multiple iOS devices and OS versions.
- Contribute to CI/CD processes, release management, testing automation, and deployment strategies.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, mobile security best practices, and software engineering excellence.
- Stay updated with emerging iOS technologies, frameworks, and industry trends.
Requirements:
- 7-9 years of hands-on experience in native iOS application development.
- Strong proficiency in Swift, Xcode, UIKit, Cocoa Touch, and iOS SDK frameworks.
- Deep understanding of iOS application architecture patterns, including MVVM, MVC, and Clean Architecture.
- Experience integrating REST APIs, handling JSON data, and working with backend services.
- Strong knowledge of Git, version control practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with Firebase, push notifications, analytics platforms, and crash reporting tools.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation skills.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cross-platform technologies such as React Native or Flutter.
- Prior exposure to telecommunications products or large-scale consumer-facing mobile applications.
- Understanding of mobile application security, data protection, and secure coding practices.
- Experience with offline storage, caching mechanisms, and application optimisation techniques.
- Strong appreciation for UI/UX principles and responsive mobile design implementation.
