About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Test Engineer to join our dynamic validation team. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background in Printer Domain, Firmware, Drivers, Applications, Cloud Technologies, and Software Testing, along with a good understanding of Networking and Windows concepts.
The role involves end-to-end product validation, including test planning, test case development, execution, defect analysis, troubleshooting, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality product releases.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute test plans, test scenarios, and test cases based on product requirements and specifications.
Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing across printer products and associated software.
Conduct manual testing and contribute to test automation initiatives to improve validation efficiency and coverage.
Analyze product requirements and identify appropriate test coverage, validation scope, and acceptance criteria.
Perform firmware, driver, application, and connectivity validation across supported platforms and configurations.
Troubleshoot issues by analyzing logs, traces, system behavior, and device/network configurations.
Identify, document, and track defects using Jira or equivalent defect management tools, ensuring proper defect lifecycle management.
Collaborate closely with Firmware, Driver, Application, Cloud, Hardware, and R&D teams to investigate and resolve technical issues.
Execute validation across different Windows, mobile, networking, and printer configurations as required.
Monitor test execution progress and provide regular updates on execution status, defects, blockers, risks, and overall quality.
Participate in defect triage and technical discussions with cross-functional teams.
Support root-cause analysis and provide technical inputs to help improve product quality.
Prepare test reports, execution metrics, defect summaries, and validation status reports for stakeholders.
Identify opportunities for test optimization, process improvements, and automation.
Support estimation of testing effort, timelines, and resource requirements for validation activities.
Participate in client and stakeholder discussions and provide technical inputs related to testing and product validation.
Technical Skills
Strong understanding of Printer Domain concepts, including:
Printer Firmware
Printer Drivers
Printer Applications
Print and Scan workflows
Connectivity and device onboarding
Cloud-based printer services
Good understanding of Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC) and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Strong hands-on experience in:
Functional Testing
Regression Testing
Integration Testing
System Testing
End-to-End Testing
Compatibility Testing
Good knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and system administration concepts.
Strong understanding of Networking concepts, including Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, IP addressing, and connectivity troubleshooting.
Experience working with Jira, TestRail, or equivalent test and defect management tools.
Experience with log analysis and debugging techniques.
Knowledge of test automation frameworks/tools is an added advantage.
Hands-on experience with Python, Shell, or other scripting languages is a plus.
Familiarity with API, Cloud, Web, and Mobile application testing is an added advantage.
Testing & Process Skills
Ability to independently understand requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios and test cases.
Strong capability in identifying test coverage gaps, edge cases, and potential risks.
Experience in planning and executing end-to-end validation activities.
Ability to analyze test results and identify defect trends and quality risks.
Good understanding of defect management, severity/priority classification, and defect triage processes.
Experience in maintaining test documentation and ensuring traceability between requirements and test cases.
Ability to contribute to test process improvement and optimization.
Exposure to automation and continuous testing practices is an added advantage.

Educational Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
elevant industry experience in software testing, product validation, printer technologies, or embedded systems will be preferred.
