About the role
Senior DevOps Engineer with 7 years of experience in CICD transformation and platform modernization responsible for modernizing enterprise software delivery by migrating legacy Jenkins Bitbucket and XLR workflows to GitHub Actions and Harness while integrating Ansiblebased deployment automation across Java NET Python database and containerized applications
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to CICD modernization initiatives by assessing legacy pipelines and implementing migration plans for GitHub Actions and Harness
Design build and maintain GitHub Actions workflows for application build unit testing code quality security scanning artifact publishing and deployment
Develop reusable workflows custom actions and standardized pipeline templates to reduce duplication and improve governance across repositories
Configure and manage GitHubhosted and selfhosted runners workflow permissions secrets variables environments approvals and branch protection controls
Design and implement Harness CD pipelines service and environment definitions templates approval gates deployment strategies and rollback workflows
Migrate release orchestration and deployment processes from Jenkins and XLR to Harness while maintaining traceability and operational continuity
Develop and maintain reusable Ansible playbooks roles inventories and execution standards for application deployment and configuration management
Integrate Ansible automation with GitHub Actions and Harness to support consistent deployments across environments
Implement artifact management secrets management environment promotion policy checks and audit controls throughout the delivery lifecycle
Integrate pipelines with testing code quality vulnerability scanning artifact repositories and observability platforms
Partner with application platform security QA and operations teams to standardize DevSecOps practices and accelerate software delivery
Troubleshoot workflow runner deployment integration and environment issues across hybrid and cloudnative platforms
Required Skills
7 years of experience in DevOps CICD engineering release automation or platform engineering
Must have strong hands on experience with GitHub Actions including YAML workflows reusable workflows custom actions matrices caching artifacts environments runners permissions secrets and approvals
Strong handson experience with Harness Continuous Delivery pipeline templates approvals service and environment configuration and deployment strategies
Proven experience modernizing or migrating CICD pipelines from Jenkins Bitbucket and XLR to GitHub Actions and Harness
Strong experience with Ansible playbooks roles inventories collections Ansible Vault and configuration management
Proficiency in Git pull request workflows branching strategies release management and repository governance
Experience with scripting and automation using Python ShellBash Groovy and YAML
Experience integrating SonarQube or similar code quality tools security scanners artifact repositories and secrets management platforms into pipelines
Knowledge of Docker Kubernetes OpenShift Helm and cloudnative deployment patterns
Experience supporting Java NET Python and database application build and deployment processes
Understanding of enterprise security leastprivilege access compliance controls change governance and audit requirements
Strong troubleshooting documentation stakeholder communication and crossfunctional collaboration skills
Preferred Skills
Experience with Splunk Dynatrace or similar observability platforms
Experience with AIassisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot
Experience delivering largescale CICD transformation platform adoption or developer enablement initiatives
