Job Summary –
We are seeking an O365 Engineer who wants to be at the center of how a modern enterprise communicates and collaborates — spanning Exchange Online, Exchange Server SE, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive and Microsoft Intune. Every ticket resolved and every outage prevented directly protects productivity for thousands of end users, so this role suits someone who takes pride in that impact. The ideal candidate is genuinely passionate about technology, comfortable wearing multiple hats across the Microsoft 365 stack, and thrives in a 24x7 support model built on speed, precision and defined SLAs.
Years of experience needed –
- At least 3 to 5 years of work experience in supporting O365 & Exchange infrastructure
- At least 2+ years of work experience in supporting MS Teams and MS OneDrive & Intune
Technical Skills:
- Strong troubleshooting skills across various versions of Exchange Servers, Subscription Edition and Exchange Online — covering mail flow, transport rules, connectors, mailbox issues, certificate management, Autodiscover and free/busy troubleshooting in hybrid environments, mailbox migration issues, and message trace/queue diagnostics for delivery problems
- Strong troubleshooting and administration skills in Microsoft Teams and OneDrive — including calling and meeting issues, Teams policies, channel/permissions configuration, OneDrive sync errors, sharing and storage management
- Strong troubleshooting and administration skills in Microsoft Intune — covering device enrollment (Autopilot, co-management), compliance and configuration policies, conditional access, application deployment and packaging, endpoint security baselines, and remote wipe/retire actions for lost or offboarded devices
- Strong skills in service outage management, with the ability to drive major incidents to resolution end-to-end while keeping end users informed and supported throughout
- Sound knowledge of Active Directory and Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), including how identity, authentication, and hybrid sync flow across the environment
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP) and Windows Server/OS concepts as they relate to messaging and collaboration workloads
- Practical PowerShell scripting skills for day-to-day administration, bulk operations, diagnostics, and automating repetitive tasks
- Working knowledge of hybrid Exchange environments, including AD Connect/Entra Connect sync health and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with mail security and compliance tooling (e.g., Microsoft Defender for Office 365, Microsoft Purview, Mimecast) for spam, phishing, and data protection scenarios
- Exposure to modern automation approaches (PowerShell, scripting, or low-code tools) for reporting, monitoring, or streamlining repetitive administrative tasks
- Provides input into environment design, configuration standards, and long-term improvements based on recurring issue patterns and root cause trends
- Working knowledge of SharePoint Online (SPO) as an add-on skill — covering site/permission management, common sync and access issues, and how it integrates with OneDrive and Teams
Management Skills:
- Excellent analytical skills paired with expert-level documentation — able to turn complex technical issues into clear, reusable knowledge for the wider team
- Hands-on experience managing the full ITSM lifecycle — Incidents (INC), Service Requests (SR), and Problem Records (PRB)- from logging through to resolution and closure
- Practical experience raising and managing Change Requests (CR), including presenting at CAB (Change Advisory Board) and adhering to approved implementation schedules
- Strong adherence to defined SLAs, change windows, and implementation timelines, with a track record of minimal deviation
- Sound knowledge of the ITIL framework and how it is applied day to day across Incident, Problem and Change Management
- Strong governance mindset — comfortable maintaining standards, tracking compliance, and ensuring changes follow proper process
- Audit and compliance-focused — maintains accurate records across all ITSM tickets to support internal and external audit requirements
- Proactive approach to service health — monitoring trends, spotting early warning signs, and acting before issues become incidents
- An automation-first mindset: able to identify repetitive, manual tasks and either eliminate or offload them through scripting, workflows, or tooling
- Reporting-oriented — able to translate operational data into insights that inform leadership and drive continuous improvement
Process Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A genuine team player who fosters collaboration and inter-group coordination rather than working in silos
- Fast learner with a proven track record of picking up new technologies quickly and applying them with operational excellence
- Curious and forward-looking — actively explores AI adoption and emerging tools to improve how support is delivered, not just how it's documented
- Demonstrated history of continuous learning, upskilling, and delivering measurable achievements in past roles
- Takes ownership of technical issues within projects and sees them through to resolution
- Collaborates and communicates effectively with stakeholders, keeping client satisfaction in front of mind
Qualification:
- Education qualification: Graduate in any discipline; a diploma or degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Applications (Diploma, B.Tech, BE, BCA, BSc, MCA, M.Tech, or equivalent) is preferred
Certifications Needed:
- No certification is mandatory; however, relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, Teams Administrator Associate, or Endpoint Administrator Associate) will be considered an added advantage
