About the role
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of backend engineers while remaining 50% hands-on with design and development.
- Collaborate closely with Product, UX, DevOps, and cross-functional engineering teams.
- Drive architecture, system design, code quality, and production deployments.
- Mentor and grow the engineering team through technical guidance and leadership.
- Build scalable, high-performance backend services for a global payments platform.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of backend development experience using C# or any OOP language (Java/. NET, etc. )
- Strong experience with REST APIs, Microservices, SQL databases, Kafka/RabbitMQ (or similar messaging systems).
- Experience with Observability tools (Grafana, Dynatrace, etc. )
- 1+ years of people management/team leadership experience.
- Experience building scalable distributed systems.
- Good understanding of design patterns, code reviews, unit testing, and Agile methodologies.
- Exposure to AI-powered development tools (Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, etc. )
- Experience building or scaling Multi-Agent AI architectures in production is highly preferred.
