About the role
We are looking for an AI-first Tech Lead / Principal Engineer to join the Money Movement Team at Payoneer. This is an Individual Contributor (IC) role with strong technical ownership, where you will lead high-impact projects and guide engineering teams on architecture, scalability, and AI-driven innovation.
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end technical execution of critical projects within the Money Movement domain.
- Architect and build scalable, high-performance backend systems.
- Drive adoption of AI-powered solutions using frameworks like LangChain and LangGraph.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers across teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Design, and Business.
- Ensure high-quality code, system reliability, and performance optimization.
- Contribute to system design, code reviews, and best engineering practices.
- Present technical solutions and strategies to stakeholders.
Requirements:
- 7-12 years of strong backend engineering experience.
- Expertise in at least one: Node.js / Java /. NET.
- Hands-on experience building AI/LLM-based applications.
- Strong working knowledge of LangChain / LangGraph (must-have).
- Proven experience in designing scalable distributed systems.
- Strong problem-solving and system design skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (non-negotiable).
