Job Description

Job Summary –

This position have to ensure the software quality by identifying defects and validating functionality. This also includes creation and execution of test plans, collaborate with developers to resolve issues, and ensure the product meets high-quality standards. The role involves both manual and automated testing, contributing to process improvements throughout the development cycle.

Years of experience needed –

• Proven 10-12 years of industry experience in manual and automated software testing.
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting (e.g., Cypress, JUnit).
• Familiarity with issue tracking tools like Jira and bug tracking systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail to identify defects in complex systems.
• Knowledge of databases and ability to write SQL queries for data validation and testing.
• Experience with REST API testing and tools like Postman or similar.
• Good understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills for clear and concise reporting of defects and test results.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and interact with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Ability to mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to the development of testing strategies.
• Experience with mobile testing (iOS/Android) and relevant tools.
• Familiarity with security testing practices and tools

Technical Skills:

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and scripts to identify software defects and ensure the functionality of products.
• Perform manual and automated testing to validate application functionality, performance, and security.
• Report, track, and manage defects, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication with development teams.
• Collaborate with developers and product owners to understand product requirements and provide feedback on quality issues early in the development cycle.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews to ensure quality is considered throughout the development process.
• Perform regression testing to ensure new features and updates do not impact existing functionality.
• Monitor and evaluate the overall performance, usability, and security of the software.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying areas for process and quality enhancements.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and new testing tools.
