About the role
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Automation Test Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in test automation tools and frameworks, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure high-quality software delivery.
Key Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for web, mobile, and/or API applications.
- Maintain and enhance test automation frameworks and scripts.
- Collaborate with developers, QA analysts, and product owners to understand application requirements and create test plans.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Perform regression testing and report defects with detailed documentation.
- Analyze test results and work closely with the development team to resolve issues.
- Maintain test documentation and automation coverage metrics.
- Ensure test environments are configured and data is properly managed.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in automation testing.
- Proficiency in test automation tools such as:
- Selenium / WebDriver
- TestNG / JUnit
- Cypress / Playwright
- Postman / REST Assured (for API testing)
- Strong programming/scripting skills in one or more of the following:
- Java / Python / JavaScript / C#
- Experience in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Good understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
- Experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes.
- Experience in performance testing (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) is a plus.
- Knowledge of BDD frameworks like Cucumber.
- Exposure to containerization and cloud platforms (e.g., Docker, AWS, Azure).
- Experience testing microservices-based architecture.
- ISTQB certification is a plus.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking.
- Excellent communication and teamwork.
- Self-motivated with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage time and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
