About the role
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright.
• Perform UI, functional, regression, and end-to-end testing of web applications.
• Develop and execute API test cases for REST APIs using tools such as Postman or similar frameworks.
• Validate API responses, status codes, headers, request payloads, and error handling.
• Perform database testing using SQL queries to validate data integrity and backend transactions.
• Write SQL queries involving joins, subqueries, and data validation.
• Integrate automated test scripts into CI/CD pipelines.
• Identify, report, track, and retest defects in coordination with development teams.
• Maintain test documentation, automation reports, and test execution results.
RequirementsTechnical Skills Required:
Primary Skills:
•Hands-on experience with Playwright for web automation testing.
•Strong programming skills in JavaScript or TypeScript.
•Experience in API testing using Postman, Playwright API testing, or similar tools.
•Good knowledge of SQL and database testing.
•Experience testing RESTful APIs and validating backend data.
Secondary Skills:
•Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
•Knowledge of cross-browser testing and parallel test execution.
•Experience with test reporting tools and defect management systems such as Jira.
•Exposure to cloud-based testing environments.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
•Minimum 5 years of experience in Automation Testing using Playwright
•Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
•Relevant experience in Teamcenter Development.
•Certifications in testing or PLM technologies are an added advantage
