About the role
Responsibilities:
- Backend Development: Develop, test, and deploy scalable, efficient, and secure backend solutions using Java and the Spring framework.
- Microservices Architecture: Design and implement microservices with Spring Boot and related tools, ensuring seamless integration with front-end systems.
- Database Management: Work with relational and NoSQL databases (e. g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB), and ensure optimal performance and scalability.
- API Design: Create and maintain RESTful APIs and ensure they follow best practices for design and security.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor system performance, debug issues, and make improvements to ensure high availability and low-latency performance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (front-end developers, product managers, QA) to ensure seamless integration and delivery of features.
- Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews to maintain high code quality and consistency across the team.
- Documentation: Write clear and concise technical documentation for new features, improvements, and fixes.
- Agile Development: Work in an Agile environment, adhering to sprint goals and timelines.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Java: Strong knowledge of Java 8+, including object-oriented programming, design patterns, and multi-threading.
- Spring Framework: Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and Spring Data.
- Microservices: Experience with building and deploying microservices using Spring Boot.
- Databases: Strong experience with SQL (e. g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and familiarity with NoSQL (e. g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
- API Development: Solid understanding of RESTful API design, including authentication, authorization, and security best practices.
- Version Control: Proficient in Git for source code management and version control.
- Testing: Familiarity with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
- Cloud Technologies: Experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms is a plus.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and debugging skills to solve complex software issues.
- Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills for interacting with team members and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
