About the role
Requirements:
- Backend development experience, with 2+ years in a technical leadership or lead developer role.
- Expertise in object-oriented programming languages such as Java.
- Strong knowledge of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and distributed system design.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e. g., PostgreSQL, DynamoDB).
- Proficiency in performance tuning, asynchronous programming, and multithreading.
- Hands-on experience with messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or SQS.
- Solid grasp of security principles, including authentication, authorisation, and secure coding practices.
- Proficiency with AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3 DynamoDB, and ECS.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Experience with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes/ECS) and cloud-native architecture.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and Infrastructure as Code (e. g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Passion for cybersecurity and interest in security operations.
- Strong Git proficiency and experience managing branching strategies and code collaboration workflows.
- Experience working across the stack, with a solid understanding of React/TypeScript front-end architecture.
