About the role
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
- Develop high-performance, reliable, and secure distributed systems.
- Work closely with AI/ML, product, and frontend teams to deliver impactful features.
- Integrate cloud services, databases, and third-party APIs.
- Optimise application performance, scalability, and system reliability.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following engineering best practices.
Requirements:
- 1-4 years of backend development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python (preferred) Candidates with strong experience in Java or Golang are also encouraged to apply.
- Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms, OOP, and backend design principles.
- Experience working with SQL or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, etc. ).
- Hands-on experience with AWS services.
- Good understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, and modern software development practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
Nice to Have:
- Experience building scalable backend systems for high-traffic applications.
- Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, or containerised deployments.
- Interest or experience in AI/LLM-based products.
