Job Description Senior SRE
Senior Site Reliability Engineer SRE will play a critical role in ensuring that the systems are reliable scalable and performant He She will collaborate with software engineers system administrators and other stakeholders to design implement and maintain infrastructures that support our growing business needs
Responsibilities
System Design and Architecture
Design implement and maintain scalable reliable and secure systems
Develop and maintain system architecture documentation
Collaborate with software engineering teams to design applications that are resilient to failure and can handle high traffic
Evaluate and integrate new technologies to improve system performance and reliability
Observability Monitoring
Develop and implement monitoring strategies to detect and address potential issues before they impact users
Maintain and improve monitoring tools and dashboards
Review and enhance the incident management process and bring in Shift Left automation
Performance and Optimization
Analyze system performance and implement optimizations to improve efficiency
Conduct load testing and capacity planning to ensure systems can handle peak traffic
Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks
Automation and Tooling
Develop and maintain automation tools to streamline deployment and management processes
Implement infrastructureascode practices to ensure consistent and repeatable system configurations
Work with development teams to integrate automation tools into their workflows
Security and Compliance
Implement security best practices to protect systems and data
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards
Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
Skillset
Overall 58 years of experience with 3 years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineer or similar role
Strong knowledge of LinuxUnix systems and networking
Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure AWS or Google Cloud
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python Bash or Ruby
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus Grafana ELK stack or Splunk
Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to work under pressure
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Skillset
Experience with infrastructureascode tools such as Terraform or Ansible
Familiarity with CICD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI
Knowledge of database systems such as MySQL PostgreSQL or Cassandra
Experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture
Certifications in relevant technologies or cloud platforms
