About the role
Requirements:
- More than 5 years of experience developing/testing/deploying secure, production-quality software products.
- Expert-level programming (C++/Java) is required with a demonstrated ability to solve complex problems.
- Prior experience building distributed systems at internet scale.
- Deep expertise in PostgreSQL internals: storage/buffer manager, WAL, MVCC, lock manager, query planner/executor.
- Alternatively, deep expertise in streaming processing (Flink, Kafka, and Message product) is also OK.
- Strong transaction management background: isolation levels, concurrency control, deadlock detection, crash recovery, physical/logical replication, and HA/failover strategies.
- Experience in performance engineering: profiling (perf, gdb, flamegraphs); benchmarking (pgbench);
- Autovacuum tuning, index/statistics optimisation, and I/O/memory optimisation for large-scale workloads are preferred.
- Technical leadership experience in guiding teams and making architectural decisions.
- A bachelor's in computer science or equivalent is required.
- Demonstrated experience in leading critical projects to production.
