About the role
Leads architectural design for core platform and product systems. Defines scalable, high-performance software solutions and partners with engineering and product leadership to ensure alignment between technical vision and business objectives across Tekion's platform.
Responsibilities:
- Owns architecture for major components and services, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Collaborates with engineering leadership, product managers, and stakeholders to define long-term technical roadmaps.
- Establishes and promotes architectural standards, design patterns, and development best practices.
- Guides teams in decomposing monolithic systems, modernising legacy infrastructure, and building cloud-native solutions.
- Conducts design reviews, leads technical deep dives, and supports system-level debugging and performance tuning.
- Mentors senior engineers and Associate Architects across domains and fosters technical growth and architectural thinking.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering and system design, with significant architectural responsibilities.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Expertise in designing distributed systems, cloud-native services, and microservices architecture.
- Proficiency in software design patterns, scalability strategies, and performance optimisation.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and observability practices.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration, technical communication, and mentoring skills.
- Proven success in leading architectural initiatives across multiple teams or domains.
