Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Printer Validation WQE/ Lead Validation Engineer with strong expertise in the Printer Domain. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of printer hardware, firmware, drivers, connectivity protocols, and end-to-end print workflows. The candidate will play a key role in defining validation strategies, leading test efforts, troubleshooting complex issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality product releases.

Key Responsibilities
Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for printer products, technologies, and validation activities.
Define, review, and drive end-to-end validation strategies, test plans, test scenarios, and test cases for printer products and features.
Analyze product requirements and identify validation gaps, risks, dependencies, and quality concerns.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to validation engineers and support issue resolution.
Validate printer hardware, firmware, drivers, connectivity features, and complete print workflows across different environments.
Collaborate with R&D, WQE/SQPM, Program Management, and Client teams to ensure successful product validation and delivery.
Perform defect triaging, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and technical investigations for complex issues.
Ensure timely reporting of test progress, quality metrics, and product readiness.
Identify opportunities for test optimization, automation, and process improvements.
Support release validation activities and contribute to continuous quality enhancements.
Required Technical Competencies
Strong understanding of printer architecture and ecosystem.
Knowledge of printer hardware components and firmware behavior.
Experience with printer drivers, installation, configuration, and validation.
Understanding of USB, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and network printing technologies.
Experience in end-to-end validation of print workflows and user scenarios.
Ability to analyze logs, debug issues, and support root cause investigations.
Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools.
Educational Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with global clients and cross-functional teams.
Exposure to automation testing frameworks and validation toolsets.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
