About the role
Responsibilities:
- The employee lifecycle end-to-end: offers, contracts, onboarding, confirmation, transfers and exits.
- Payroll coordination, benefits and statutory compliance (PF, ESI, professional tax, gratuity, Karnataka Shops and Establishments).
- HR policies, the employee handbook and the HRIS.
- Hiring support: recruiter and agency coordination, interview scheduling, offer process, background checks and joining follow-up.
- Performance and compensation review cycles, engagement, grievances and exit interviews.
- A small HR team (for example, an HR executive or recruiter) when headcount needs it.
Requirements:
- 5-10 years in HR at product companies, ideally SaaS or tech.
- Looking for an action-oriented person who can work with both India and US teams as needed.
- Generalist depth across the lifecycle, having run HR rather than one specialist slice.
- India labour law and statutory compliance in practice.
- Hiring experience, ideally for technical roles, and comfort working with external recruiters.
- HRIS and payroll tools (Keka, Darwinbox, greytHR, Zoho People or similar).
- Discretion and clear written communication.
