About the role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented system administrator to manage, maintain, and optimise our IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and security of our cloud environments, virtualisation platforms, and internal networks. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and strong communication skills to support our growing operations.
Responsibilities:
- Virtualisation and Cloud: Manage and maintain VMware environments (vCenter, ESXi) and Microsoft Azure cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, Entra ID).
- Microsoft 365 Administration: Oversee the M365 suite, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and security compliance (MFA, Intune).
- Network Management: Configure and troubleshoot networking components, including firewalls, VLANs, VPNs, and routing protocols.
- System Maintenance: Perform regular updates, patch management, and server hardening to ensure 99.9% uptime and security.
- Support and Troubleshooting: Act as the point of contact for complex technical issues, providing efficient root-cause analysis and resolution.
- Documentation: Maintain clear records of network configurations, system changes, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Requirements:
- Experience: 3-4 years of hands-on experience in system administration.
- Virtualisation: Proficiency in VMware management.
- Cloud: Solid understanding of Azure administration and resource management.
- M365 Expertise in managing Microsoft 365 tenants and security features.
- Networking: Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and firewall management.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities and clear, concise communication for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
